We have featured lots of Lego creations here and always get excited when we see something cool made from these building bricks. Just like the functional Lego Ideas grand piano set which we came across today. This fan-designed mini piano from LEGO is playable and made from 3,662-pieces. This 8.5-inch high cool piano set has been released by Lego Ideas and will go on sale from August 1, 2020. For those who don’t know, Lego Ideas is a platform run by the Lego Group that allows users to submit ideas for Lego products. Selected ideas are turned into likely sets which are then sold commercially.

The idea for the functional mini Lego piano set was submitted by music teacher Donny Chen back in 2018. Interestingly, his idea was up voted by fellow Lego fans and thus, Lego Ideas team transformed his vision into a real piano set. This beautiful model comes with removable 25-key keyboard, authentic hammer action and moving dampers and pedal. Also, the LEGO Ideas grand piano model kit features authentic details such as propped-open top lid just like a real grand piano’s and opening fallboard. Besides that, it comes with piano leg wheels and height adjustable bench as well.

The LEGO Ideas grand piano is 8.5-inch in height, 12-inch in width and 13.5-inch deep when closed. It is packed with an electric motor that runs on 6 AAA batteries to make it playable. Also, there is the free LEGO Powered Up app which let you play pre-loaded songs. Thus, with this one-of-a-kind set, you can play the mini Lego piano yourself or choose to play the preset songs.

This fan designed playable Lego Ideas grand piano set will come with a coffee-table-style booklet as well. It is priced at US$349.99 and will be available from August 1.
