Bang & Olufsen, Danish consumer electronics company has unveiled its most complete and powerful digital loudspeaker till date. Built to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the brand, the speaker is designed to deliver optimum precision in sound. Dubbed BeoLab 90, the striking hi-end loudspeaker is a perfect combination of world-class design, craftsmanship and acoustics which promises to offer best sound quality to the listeners.
B&O’s BeoLab 90 speaker comes with an impressive 360-degree design based on the idea that form follows function. The position of the loudspeaker driver and the placement of electronics cooling fins are arranged as per acoustical requirements. The aluminum cabinet weighs more than 65 kg whereas the outer ‘skin’ is made of acoustically transparent fabric. The whole unit rests on a curved wooden base.
BeoLab 90 comes equipped with Bang & Olufsen’s new Active Room Compensation technology which guarantees you a sensational sound experience despite your listening position, the placement of the loudspeakers and your furniture too. Also, the speaker comes with Beam Width Control which ensures that the reflections from your room’s surfaces don’t affect your listening experience. It can even be expanded to provide a full 360º dispersion and it can also be used to steer the sound radiation to your favourite listening location.
The BeoLab 90 loudspeaker by Bang & Olufsen will come with a B&O remote to control its settings. However, users can also control the device using the dedicated app on their smartphones. Besides managing the beam width and direction, one can pre-program all of BeoLab 90’s features and save presets that best suit their preferences.
The 90th anniversary edition Beolab 90 speaker will go on sale with a whooping price tag of £26,995( $ 41210) per unit in selected stores from November 17, 2015.
