Finally, it’s here officially. The Apple iPhone 5 after almost a year long wait was unveiled to the world at an event in San Francisco.
The 4G-enabled smartphone comes with a large 4-inch Retina Display and the iPhone 5 is 18% thinner at 0.30 inches and 20% lighter at 3.95 ounces than the iPhone 4S. According to the firm it is the thinnest and lightest iPhone handset ever.
The Apple iPhone 5 offers an 8 Megapixel iSight camera having maximum resolution of 3,264×2,448 pixels and including features like backside illumination, a hybrid IR filter, a five-element lens and a f2.4 aperture. All new designed A6 chip in the new iPhone is twice as fast as the current A5 chip providing faster graphic performance.
Some more features are iOS 6 onboard, better battery life, smaller dock connector, an additional microphone and 4G LTE connectivity.
The iPhone 5 will be available from September 21, preorders starting from 14th September and will come in black and white versions priced between $199 and $399.
