Just like the nation-wide Swachh Bharat Mission which was launched in 2014, we can soon witness a Sangeet Bharat campaign. Well, only if the efforts of a 58 year old Civil Engineer from Andhra Pradesh can convince Prime Minister, Narendra Modi for such a mission. Music teacher S V Rao, better known as Guitar Rao is behind this campaign who teaches guitar to his students for only Rupee 1 per day. A civil engineer turned guitar teacher, he roams from city to city and teach music to the willing people. Nowadays, you can find him in Delhi, teaching guitar, flute and keyboard at three locations every day.

Matt Tuck, frontman of Welsh heavy metal band Bullet for My Valentine has teamed up with Jägermeister to complete the world’s first continuous gig across air, sea and land. This extreme gig was performed as a part of Jägermeister’s Ice Cold Gig 2016 series. The fifth chapter of the series took place amidst (and above) the Lyngsfjord region, near Tromsø, in the spectacular setting of North Norway.

The 2016 NAMM show, world’s largest annual event for the music products industry is all set to commence at the Anaheim Convention Center in California, US. The event will take place from Jan 21st to Jan 24th, 2016. One of the highest platforms for music brands to show their presence, the show will witness the launch of hundreds of musical instruments and accessories.  Cort Guitars, South Korea-based guitar manufacturer will also introduce their latest Frank Gambale Signature Model acoustic guitar at the fair.
