Mercedes-Benz has unveiled their new second-generation Mercedes-Benz Citan van at the 2021 Caravan Salon in Dusseldorf, Germany. Well, not only that, the auto maker also showcased a campervan version of the Citan van during the event. The 2022 Mercedes Citan Campervan has been created in partnership with VanEssa mobilcamping, camper specialists from Germany.
The small campervan is loaded with all the basic amenities required to live the van life. The vehicle comes equipped with a sleeping area and a kitchenette based on a drawer system. The 2022 Mercedes-Benz Citan campervan comes with a bed measuring 6.2 feet in length and 3.7 feet in width. Thus, it can accommodate two people easily who can enjoy a good night sleep on the provided high quality mattress. Interestingly, when not in use the bed remains in the boot area and therefore the rear seats can be fully utilized.
The Citan campervan comes with a fully-functional kitchen too. Based on a drawer system, it features a built-in cooker and a 31-liter refrigerator. Besides that, it comes with a 13-liter water tank and a sink system. The complete system weighs around 60 kilograms and can be installed and removed in a matter of minutes. Although, it is such a small package, there is enough room for pots, pans and other supplies. The module will be offered in various choices of colors so that customers can customize it as per their taste.
There is no word on the release date and the pricing yet.
