Lush green trees are certainly a beautiful part of nature, which make outdoors feel more lively and relaxing at the same time. But have you ever wondered what happens to old or fallen tree branches? Probably, these fallen tree parts remain on the ground of nearby streets/forests or damped into garbage. However, Chilean artist Sebastian Errazuriz turns found tree trunks and branches into aesthetic and practical furniture pieces, while bringing a small slice of nature indoors.
Highlighting the trees’ original shape as focal point, Errazuriz often keeps the designs very natural and minimal. Although natural shape and integrity of trees are maintained, but he has taken a few liberties with appearances of the eco-friendly furniture.
Firstly, he sanded down any rough edges and then lacquered over the wood in a black finish with a matte sheen. Moreover glass platforms are added on different furniture units to serve as functional shelves or tabletop. The finished products look very stylish and polished, ready to be a centerpiece of any room.
Fantastic arboreal furniture pieces include, functional bookshelves and tables; all made from fallen South American Trees. The bookshelves will elegantly take your book collection to back whence they came from, whereas the tables will make you feel as if trees are flowing over the floor of your living room.
Errazuriz’s love for nature is reflected from these gorgeous creations that will definitely leave a lasting impression. For more information and to request for pricing, you may visit the designer’s official website.
