Aviation enthusiasts can make the most of their time flying the all-new Axis Vidius drone by UAV company Axis Drones. It is the world’s smallest first-person-view (FPC) drone, which is designed to stream live videos and snap photos from the pilot’s viewpoint. Measuring only 1.7 inches wide and standing just under an inch tall, the Vidius is equipped with high quality camera that captures at 420p during flight and flies up to 100-feet away.
This palm-sized drone is a marvelous design with impeccable engineering support. Plus, its flexible orientation allows the quadrotor to perform 360-degree flips and rolls. The built-in 6-axis gyroscope helps in maintaining stability during rotations so that images aren’t blurred. Another amazing feature called ‘Trick Mode,’ uses a pre-programmed algorithm to monitor dynamic movement techniques.
The world’s smallest FPV drone can be monitored from the provided 2.4 gHz controller. Besides that, it can also be connected your Android or Apple device via companion mobile app. Through Wi-Fi connection, the mobile can help you to control the drone. With the app you can easily share recorded videos and captured photographs on social media, blogs, messaging, email, etc.
Vidius comes with a 150mAh battery pack (2 X AAA batteries), which gives it a maximum flight time capacity of seven minutes and needs only 20 minutes to fully charge via a USB cable. Moreover, its pre-programmed speed settings will let the users have extra control over the desired amount of flight sensitivity.
However, the smallest size of the drone has both advantage and disadvantage. The drawback of the lightweight could be that wind streams might crash it to the ground. But the biggest advantage is that no FAA registration is required. So, it’s quite a fair deal.
Now you can pre-order Axis Vidius for $75, but you need to hurry up as the sale will end on 7th January. Furthermore, the shipping will begin on or before 29th January.
