1. Wooden electric car
A creative Xinjiang-based carpenter is behind this above pictured bizarre decorative wooden electric car, resembling a royal car design. The artistic craftsman took almost six months and $9,450 to complete this vehicle that boasts attractive designs. It can travel 150 km on a single charge with a top speed of 50 km/h.
2. Handcrafted motorcycle made from wood
Crafted by a Russian motorcycle enthusiast and rider Dmitry Gubenko, the motorcycle is handcrafted entirely out of wood. It took him about two years to complete beautiful artwork on this gorgeous motorbike. Eye-catching engravings on the bike makes it a perfect piece of art that can also be used for commuting.
3. Thonet Bike by Andy Martin
While bicycles offer a sustainable way to commute, London-based designer Andy Martin has made it more eco-friendly by beech wood for its manufacturing. In collaboration with furniture company Thonet, this woody bike has been created to add natural touch to your daily mode of transportation.
4. Mercedes Benz 300SL Gullwing
Handmade in 2012 by German artist, this luxury lumberjack automobile is replica of 1955 Mercedes Benz 300SL Gullwing and made entirely out of teakwood. However this one cannot drive as its parts are not functional, but the fine craftsmanship of the car makes it a stunning masterpiece that’s perfect to put on display.
5. Wooden car by Istvan Puskas
Hungary-based agricultural machine expert Istvan Puskas has created this eccentric wooden car, featuring a beer barrel fuel tank and other parts like frame, axles and gears are all crafted from timber. Only non-wooden parts are the Polish-made Fiat 126 engine, windshield, tires and the steering wheel which comes from an old Mercedes-Benz.
6. Homemade wooden chopper
Another wooden creation by Hungary-based motorcycle lover Istvan Puskas is the fully-functional wooden chopper, which is powered by an old Fiat engine. It is made entirely out of black locust wood. To add more bizarre touch to this sexy beast, the exhaust pipes and handlebars are made from cow’s horns, wooden barrel is used as the fuel tank and deer horns for some extra decoration.
7. Harley Davidson-inspired wooden motorbike
Modeled after 1909 Harley-Davidson Twin, this wood-crafted motorcycle is built by a self-taught wood artist Mike Sohn from Hannibal, Missouri. He has used at least nine different types of wood in creating this piece of art, and it took him year and a half to complete this stunning two-wheeler.
8. Tryane II wooden-skinned car
The Tryane II is wooden-skinned car reflecting fine craftsmanship, and includes internal combustion engine inside that’s said to be capable of 70 to 90 miles per gallon. Created by a guy popularly known as Friend Wood, it tool nearly 2000 hours to build the stunning car that’s made out of mahogany veneer.
9. Connor wood bicycle
Connor wood bicycle is hand-sculpted to add more natural feel to the bicycle. It is fully-functional rideable bike with impeccable craftsmanship. From main frame to handle bars, everything has been crafted out of wood. However, non-wooden parts include wheels, brakes and gears.
10. Splinter wooden supercar
It’s the world’s first wooden supercar designed in 2008, and claimed to be faster than a Porsche or a Lamborghini. The Splinter car is powered by 4.6litre V8 engine that turns out 700bhp (almost 300bhp more than a Porsche 911). Moreover, with top speed of staggering 240mph, the wooden supercar is faster than aforementioned sports cars.
