British automotive brand MINI has collaborated with the architects of ICEHOTEL in Jukkasjärvi, Sweden to create a new MINI themed suite for the hotel which will be available throughout the 2013/14 winter season until it melts back to Torne River in the spring season (around April 2014). Dubbed ‘Deluxe by MINI’, the luxury suite is designed by Dutch designer Wouter Biegelaar along with architect Victor Tsarskim and artist Peter Koerbler.
The design of this luxurious suite is named the MINI Evolution which combines the familiar forms of MINI with the environment of the ICEHOTEL and the evolution of housing from ancient caves to modern rooms of the present time. The ICEHOTEL deluxe suite for MINI measures 49 m² and contains 20 tones more ice than other rooms. It is the largest suite available at the hotel and its ceilings are also a meter higher than the other rooms. It will also offer services like en-suite sauna and heated relaxation area to its guests. They will also receive ice sculpting courses from professional sculptors and a MINI Country Man at their service.
