Manufacturer of professional racing simulators and flight simulators, CXC Simulations from California have presented their latest creation in the form of a full sized Champ Car simulator.
The Champ Car simulator is based on a real 2006 Lola Champ Car which the CXC borrowed from Toyota of North Hollywood. Turning a real race car into a simulator was no easy task, as the client demanded extreme realism, easy access to the cockpit, a wide leather seat to accommodate users of different sizes and brand stickers for the game as well as for the car.
The engine of the car was removed and its place was taken by the computers and electronic gadgets. The simulator features three 55″ LCD screens which offers 180 degree field of view just as the real car and is equipped with strong forced feedback system which provides real life driving conditions.
One incredible feature is that the CXC Simulations have incorporated the pedal assembly and hydraulic brake system of the original car into the system of the racing simulator.
Check out the Champ Car simulator by CXC Simulations in action in the video below.
