German Watch maker Blancier which is known for manufacturing handcrafted custom watches have created very unique hand-wound mechanical timepieces whose dials are made from used Nespresso capsules.

These custom made and handcrafted watches belong to the Grand Cru collection of the brand. Available in 11 different colors, each dial of these timepieces is distinct and is handmade from a single aluminum crushed cap. According to Blancier’s owner Willem Kamerman they don’t just recycle these Nespresso capsules rather they ‘upcycle’ them. He explains “We don’t reuse the cups; we turn the waste into something more attractive and valuable. We move up the chain.”

Each timepiece comes with a 42mm wide steel case, mechanical and hand-wound movements. Priced at $650, each timepiece comes in a boxed set with a booklet describing brand’s heritage and three Nespresso capsules.
