Students of University of Art and Design, Lausanne Damien Ludi and Colin Peillex have created an innovative rocking chair that will knit winter caps for you while you relax sitting on it. As a part of ECAL’s “Low-Tech Factory” exhibition, the design was presented at the 14th edition of designers’ Saturday in Langenthal, Switzerland.
A new interpretation of the old rocking chair, the ECAL Rocking Knit chair looks fashionable and offers relaxation productive to the user.

The back and forth movement of the chair keeps stimulating the machinery, knitting winter caps for you while you rest without breaking a drop of sweat. As winters are approaching, getting a ECAL Rocking Knit chair for myself looks like a pretty good idea to me.
