Australian cricket captain Michael Clarke has joined hands with renowned French Fashion house Louis Vuitton known for producing luxury products to create a special order cricket trunk. Handmade in historic Asnieres Special Order workshop on the outskirts of Paris, the special order Louis Vuitton Cricket Trunk stands 140cm in height and it took about eight months to complete it. The sleek graphite canvas case includes drawers and compartments specially to hold bats, boots, hats, pads, gloves, a helmet and also comes with a portable BOSE sound system and iPod dock.
The specially designed trunk will be auctioned this month and the sale will also include a selection of cricket memorabilia donated by Clarke. Christie’s auction house will manage the sale with all the proceedings from the auction to go to the Sydney Children’s Hospital. The special order Louis Vuitton cricket trunk has a reserve price of $170,000 but it can go for a lot more than that.
