Back in 2007, Tata Motors signed a licensed deal with Luxembourg’s MDI to build a car that could run on compressed air.
Now the Indian based company has showcased their new air powered car known as the AirPod and according to Tata Motors they have successfully tested engine concepts in two cars and the next step is to set up manufacturing plants for the cars.
The AirPod is an extremely light one seater car equipped with engine powered by a compressed air tank and also features an electric engine. Its range is between 28 to 43 miles per hour and can get to a maximum speed of 75 kmph.
