Evanta Motor Company has produced a very beautiful work of art that will certainly make your jaws drop. The company has constructed a 1:1 scale model of the Aston Martin DBR1 race car that was driven by Carroll Shelby and Roy Salvadori to win the 1959 24 Hours of Le Mans.
This life-sized and hand crafted replica is about 20.8-feet long and 11.3-feet high and weighs between 500 to 600 kilograms. Built with an AirFix-style, every single detail has been kept in mind and highly finished and individually labeled components looks like they are in ready to race condition.
An entire glass-reinforced plastic bodyshell of DBR1 is used and the piece features Four 16″ Aston Martin wire wheels, Mota Lita Aston Martin steering wheel, upholstered seats with leather bound headrest, a signed Aston Martin cap by both drivers Salvardori and Shelby and a replica of the Le Mans trophy.
The Aston Martin 1959 Le Mans Winning Car’s life-sized DIY model will be seen during the Goodwood Revival, where it will be auctioned.
