Richard Small, a Thunder Bay man has come up with something unique and intelligent by converting his Dragon three-wheeled electric bike into a customized solar powered scooter by installing three solar panels to it.
The conversion was completed about two weeks ago and it took him five days to do so. Small has built this bike to show people that it can really be done, and of course to save money and protect the environment.
It cost him about $3,600 which includes $650 for the solar panels. The solar panels can be tilted in order to get the maximum sunlight. The solar powered scooter is having a range of 150 to 200 kilometers and a top speed of 32 km/h.
